Pickering offers a range of PXI matrix switch modules including:

  • Low Density Matrix – 48 to 96 crosspoints, up to 300V, 2A rating
  • Medium Density Matrix – 128 to 224 crosspoints, up to 300V, 2A rating
  • High Density Matrix – 256 to 528 crosspoints, up to 300V, 2A rating
  • High Power Matrix – 12 to 80 crosspoints, up to 30A current rating
  • High Voltage Matrix – 12×2 or 6×4, up to 1000V switching

We also offer Large Matrix Switch Modules (BRIC) which includes our 2Amp version with the highest cross-point density available in the industry.

Cost Effective Switching Solution

Our PXI low density switch matrix modules are a cost-effective solution for applications that require relatively small matrices in the PXI format. These low-density switch matrices can be expanded by connecting together multiple modules, however, we recommend that users look at the higher density switch matrix modules that involve less user configuration.

Reed relay versions use high quality sputtered ruthenium relays that exhibit excellent contact performance under low and medium level switching conditions. For general purpose applications that also require higher power handling, the range of electro-mechanical relays provides an ideal solution.

Pickering’s range of high-density switch matrix modules is a cost-effective solution for applications that require high-density matrices in the PXI format. The ability to expand to larger matrices is possible by connecting together multiple modules. Reed relay versions use high quality sputtered ruthenium reeds that exhibit excellent contact performance under low and medium level switching conditions, solid-state relay versions available for high speed and long life and electro-mechanical versions for current handling up to 2 Amps.

Select models are supported by our Diagnostic Test Tools, Built-In-Relay-Self-Test (BIRST) and eBIRST Switching System Test Tools, these tools provide a quick and simple way of finding relay failures within LXI, PCI and PXI switch systems.

We also offer mating cables and connectors for these modules to ensure speedy and successful system integration. We stand behind our products with a three-year warranty.

These PXI high power switch matrix modules provide higher current and power ratings than the high-density switchversions. These modules are designed for the switching of AC or DC loads or for controlling large relay or solenoid systems. The solid state relay matrices occupy two PXI slots and are suitable for automotive and aerospace test applications.
Each high power switch uses connectors supported by our cable and connector accessories and relays have been carefully selected to ensure long service life under demanding load conditions. We stand behind our products with a three-year warranty.
