Pickering offers a variety of PXI multiplexer (MUX) switch modules including:

  • Low Density PXI MUX - Between 4 and 64 channels, 1 and 8 banks, 1 and 8 poles
  • High Density PXI MUX - Between 3 and 198 channels, 1 and 20 banks, 1 and 32 poles including BRIC Large PXI Multiplexers suitable for high pole count applications
  • High Power PXI MUX - Between 3 and 48 channels, 1 and 8 banks, 1 and 2 poles, up to 40A rating
  • High Voltage PXI MUX - Between 2 and 24 channels, 1 and 12 banks, up to 1000V switching

We also offer mating cables and connectors for these modules to ensure speedy and successful system integration

Ideal for applications requiring a low number of channels and poles

Pickering’s range of low-density multiplexer switch modules are ideal for applications requiring a lower number of channels and poles. All modules are based on high quality ruthenium reed relays that switch up to 150V, 1.2 Amp with 20W max power or high quality electro-mechanical relays (EMR) that switch up to 300V, 2 Amp with 60W max power.

The range includes a low thermal offset multiplexer that is suitable for connecting to thermocouples and other sensors that require the use of contacts with low offset errors and consistent contact performance.

All the connectors used by these modules are supported by our range of cable and connector accessories.

This range of High-Density Multiplexer Switch Modules provides a compact array of MUX solutions with differing combinations of channel counts and poles. Most of our high-density solutions include isolation relays that allow the MUX to be disconnected from the single input/output port, enabling the convenient interconnection of other channels.

Select modules are supported by our eBIRST Switching System Test Tools, these tools provide a quick and simple way of finding relay failures within LXI, PCI and PXI switch systems.

Our PXI High Power Multiplexer Switch Modules are based on electro-mechanical and solid state relays capable of switching currents of up to 40 Amps. Each module supports one or more multiplexer channels between one input/output terminal and a selection of output/input terminals. To reduce through path resistance, most of these multiplexers do not include isolation relays.

These high voltage multiplexer modules provide solutions for applications that need to switch voltages up to 1000V. Our model 40-320 modules are suited for hot or cold switching applications up to 10W and 0.5A with a rating of 13mA at their maximum operating voltage. Our model # 40-331 modules can switch up to 1000V and also have a hot or cold switching current rating of 5A.

The design ensures the modules can withstand high common mode voltages and a protective safety cover is used to shield the switching components.

All these modules use high voltage D-type connectors which are fully supported by our cable and connector accessories.
